This section explores the details of architecture changes and expansion of the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) to support 3rd party external storage providers. Previously, Nutanix converged compute and storage into a single entity with AOS distributed storage. With this new disaggregated model, Nutanix AHV and AOS can now consume high-performance external storage from outside the cluster while maintaining the VM-centric Nutanix management experience.
